9996 is a temporary coating used in paint bake ovens to entrap loose soils and dirt that would otherwise adhere to freshly painted surfaces.

9996 is a viscous petroleum base product. It is a pale brown liquid.

Application:
9996 is applied to the lower one-third to one-half of the oven walls and floor. It can be applied by string mop, paint roller or airless spray method. It should be applied evenly without making pools and puddles. After applying 9996 , raise the oven temperature 25°F above the normal operating temperature for 5 to 8 hours. This will allow the tacky oven coating to set for its intended use. One gallon of Tacky coat 9996can cover 150-200 square feet approximately.
