Introduction: |
| |
General Chemical's Peelkleer 4210 is a
clear, water resistant, peelable
coating or strippable coating which has many applications, including
paint booth windows and light fixtures, where
paint over spray accumulation must be readily removed and clear
coating allows it to see through. |
| |
Clear
coating may also be used to protect
various types of surfaces during
industrial processing. Peelkleer 4210 air-dries quickly, leaving a tough, yet
flexible strippable coating that is easily removed from a variety of surfaces. |
| |
Peelkleer 4210 represents the ultimate solvent-based strippable
coating technology. It is stabilized against brittleness and is not softened or penetrated by most water-based compounds. |

Application: |
| |
Peelkleer 4210 should be used as received. It is applied by airless spray, roll
coating, or brushing. The sprayed
coating dries to touch in 10 minutes or less, depending on temperature and film thickness. Peelkleer 4210 should be applied to form a dry film in the range of 1 to 3 mil (.001" to .003") thick. Application temperature is ambient to no lower than 50 F, as drying times will be affected. |

Operating Guidelines: |
| |
1.When applying, use the same protection as used while applying
paint. Ventilation systems should be operating while the material is being sprayed.
| |
2.Chemical goggles, impervious gloves and respirators should be worn when handling Peelkleer 4210. |
| |
3.The use of non-sparking equipment is advised when applying or removing Peelkleer 4210. |

I. Pre-cleaning of Equipment: |
| |
To clean pressure pot, airless equipment, spray guns, spray lines, do the following:
| |
1. Flush equipment and lines with a
paint thinner type material (ex. toluene, xylene or mek). |
| |
2.Spray equipment is now ready for use with Peelkleer 4210.. |
| |
3.To clean equipment, thoroughly flush with the above type solvents. |
| |
II. Pre-cleaning of Spray Booth Walls:
| |
1.Surfaces should be cleaned with a
suitable cleaner to remove all
previous peelable coatings, oils, dirt and solvent residues.
| |
2.You are now ready to use Peelkleer 4210. |
