Temporary Protective Peelable Coatings For Constructions Industry, Peel Peelable Masking Compounds, Application Description:Temporary Protective peelable coating Paste  For Construction Industry, Peelable Liquid Masking Tape For Building Industry
LiquiMask 2150Paste is designed especially to  work over porous surfaces.

Is it possible to design a water base/non water base product that dries quickly in damp conditions and can be peeled of after the flood? The coating needs only to provide a temporary water proof barrier to the exterior of a structure with the ability to be removed by some means once the flooding conditions subside.
Is such a coating even going to be possible to achieve? LiquiMask 2150Paste can work. I tried your idea of applying peelable coating over brig, porous cement, raw wood, painted cement walls, wood composites, stucco, and water filled porous polyester composite. All are successful.
The peelable coating that worked over these surfaces is a consistency of paste. The application will have to be with a trowel, a minimum of 20 mils of wet film. A gallon of this can protect approximately 100 square feet. The film in an environment of 80-90% humidity with no air movement dried within 24 hours.

General Chemical's strippable coatings dries to form a contour-hugging skin-tight protective film on various surfaces to protect from damage caused by staining, surface scratches from air hoses, electrical cables and hand tools. This prevents costly clean-up during and upon completion of construction.
The General Chemical peelable coating is a water borne non-toxic and non-hazardous product which is applied by lamb’s wool roller. It peels away cleanly leaving no residue and will not damage plastics or painted surfaces.
General Chemical strippable coating is also used to protect heavy traffic areas and sensitive surfaces against staining and abrasion during construction, storage and transport. Simply roll on and peel off on completion. The tough film is weather-resistant, UV and solvent resistant.

Patch Test:

Because it is difficult to determine the type and condition of the surface, perform a small patch test first. It will determine the peel ability of the coating on your particular surface, it will define the coverage and the approximate amount of time required for it to work and to remove off of surface. We offer no implied or other wise a warranty for our products.

Temporary Protective Peelable Coatings For Constructions Industry, Peel Peelable Masking Compounds, Application Customer Comments :

I need some type of removable film or coating that can prevent sprayed water from passing through a perforated sheet with holes less than about 0.050" diameter. The water pressure is similar to a free flowing garden hose. Do you have any type of peelable coating that could be applied? Please contact me for further discussion. Thank you,Cassie -Propulsion Technology Development

Our Recommendation : 2510 is a peelable coating with the viscosity of paste. The application is with a trowel. This coating cures by water evaporation and transforms from white to clear. Cured, clear films are water resistant and hard. The paste viscosity of this coating seals the holes by bridging over them.

2. Here is my problem. I have attached some pictures of typical jobs I’m having issues with regards to masking. Our current method is to mask with tape, which is time consuming and often sloppy, depending on the person who is doing the masking/painting. The diameters of the various splines are about 2 inches, there’s usually one at each end of the tube, the tube length can vary from approximately 12 inches to 108 inches. The tubes are aluminum; the splined end fittings are steel. The splined end fittings are cadmium plated and therefore don’t lent themselves to contact with an X-acto blade. I have given some thought to dipping the splined end fitting in a liquid mask and trimming excess with a plastic tool, in order to protect the cadmium finish. One of my concerns with this method is removing the mask prior to painting from all areas to be painted, including the joint between the steel end fitting and the aluminum tube.

Our Recommendations : LiquidMask 2510 is a water based paste like product, with ZERO VOC, that can be applied by dip, trowel or brush. The mask cures upon water evaporation and transforms from white to clear. Clear, cured mask is water and solvent resistant and should be easily removed from the substrates shown in the your pictures. We recommend about 15 mils of wet film for easy peel at jobs’ end

3. I came across your website when I was searching for a substance to fill grooves and then later be removed. I work for a company that is looking for methods to shorten clean up time and quality of end product. To give you a little bit of background, we do brick and tile engraving. We place a stencil on the material and then we engrave the material. With a nice smooth surface we have no problems, but we are starting to work more with products that have grooves in them. We would like to be able to coat the product(filling in those grooves) and then place the stencil over the coating, engrave our product. Then fill the product with our filler. Then we would remove the stencil and coating leaving only what is engraved with our filler in place. The problem we are currently having is that the grooves are getting filled with the filler. Then these grooves need to be scrapped clean. This takes a lot of time and effort to maintain the look of the engraved area. Would you recommend any of your products for us? We need it to be: fast drying (under an hour) thick enough to fill the grooves (1/16" to 1/8") And our stencil needs to be able to stick to it. (Is their a product that is a little tacky so that when we pull off the stencil the coating comes with?)

Our Recommendations : LiquidMask 2510 is water based peelable mask with a viscosity of a paste. This product can be applied with a trowel or a brush. At 15 mils wet this product should dry within an hour. A bit of warm, dry air can remove water even quicker. Cured mask is clear. Wet mask is white. Cured mask is water resistant and will peel from almost any surface.

Thank you, Cassie Propulsion Dept. Aero Systems Our Recommendations : The product that will better fit the application you have described is our product LiquiMask 2510 Paste, This is  a water based peelable coating with the viscosity of paste that  cures by water evaporation and transforms from white to clear. Cured, clear films are water resistant and hard. The paste viscosity of this coating seals the holes by bridging over them. .The product does not contain silicone. Shelf life is one year. The application is by trowel, roller or brush. This is a very high viscosity paste that cures upon water evaporation. Cured films are hard and water resistant. Apply a minimum of 16 mils wet.

Standard air assisted, or airless spray equipment, Brush or Roller (Use lambs wool roller).
Apply to achieve a minimum wet film thickness of 250 microns = 100 microns DFT (dry film thickness). IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ACHIEVE AN EVEN DFT OF MIN 100 MICRONS. As anything less may result in the film becoming difficult to remove.
Try to avoid 'feather edges' or areas where it is applied thinly. In order to achieve a defined edge it may help to apply masking tape, roller up to and over the tape and remove tape while Boat Peel peelable coating is still wet.
The strippable coating should be applied at around 150 microns min. DFT or heavier over rough surfaces or areas of heavy foot traffic.
Temporary Protective Peelable Coatings For Constructions Industry, Peel Peelable Masking Compounds, Application Repair:
If the dry  film rips or tears, the flap may be lifted and resealed by applying a fresh wet coat to the underside and resealing. Alternatively, cut away flap and re-apply fresh coating, it will bond to itself.
Temporary Protective Peelable Coatings For Constructions Industry, Peel Peelable Masking Compounds, Application External Weather Resistance:
Long-term exposure to sunlight will cause premature deterioration and brittleness of the film. Exposure to water after the film is dried will soften the film but it will recover once it dries. Avoid traffic over the wet or while the film is wet. If components are to be stored externally for several weeks we recommend the application of acrylic topcoat which will protect for 12 months and more.
Temporary Protective Peelable Coatings For Constructions Industry, Peel Peelable Masking Compounds, Application Drying Time:
It is critical that  peelable coating film is allowed to cure dry. Drying time will vary according to humidity, temperature and weather condition. The evaporation of water will be speeded by air movement and warmth supplied by natural and mechanical means.
Temporary Protective Peelable Coatings For Constructions Industry, Peel Peelable Masking Compounds, Application Adhesion:
Boat Peel is a temporary protective peelable coating and adhesion is low.
Temporary Protective Peelable Coatings For Constructions Industry, Peel Peelable Masking Compounds, Application Process:
Once completely dry is resistant to water and solvent and acts as a mask against sprayed emulsion paints, lacquers, oil or grease and water.
Temporary Protective Peelable Coatings For Constructions Industry, Peel Peelable Masking Compounds, Application Removal:
The dry strippable coating film can be easily removed either by hand stripping or other means. peelable coatings are thermoplastic. Do not try to remove in freezing conditions-becomes brittle in freezing condition.
Temporary Protective Peelable Coatings For Constructions Industry, Peel Peelable Masking Compounds, Application Clean Up:
Is a water-based product and you can clean spray equipment and brushes with water. Do this immediately before peelable coating starts to dry.

Temporary Protective Peelable Coatings For Constructions Industry, Peel Peelable Masking Compounds, Application Testimonials:

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Can you really protect your home from flood waters with a simple paint-like substance? One Houston man says he's invented a product that could save your home from rising waters.

But does it work?

"It's almost like putting icing on a cake," said Rick Frank.

When you hear Frank tell of it, his claims about Flood Extinguisher may sound too good to be true.

"A gallon covers about 200 square feet," he said. "It's 100 percent if it's applied properly."

But could a product which goes on like paint really protect your home from flooding?

"You can use this in any situation that you feel you need to protect you house from water," said Frank.

To prove his point, we asked Frank set up a demonstration in his back yard. Using a man-made basin and a door bought at a building supply store, Frank put it the test.

After pouring in about a foot of water, indeed the door did not leak. And when the door was released, water came pouring in.

Frank says the Flood Extinguisher is a patent-pending non-toxic water based mixture. He says after the product dries, which usually takes about 24 hours. It's just as easy to remove. He's even made a similar product to protect glass from shattering in a storm.

We shared the concept with Paul Aguilar, whose home over the years has seen two feet of water. While impressed, he does have his questions.

"I think it would help, but hold up to it, I have to see it," said Aguilar.

And Aguilar is not alone. Richard Ash works for a company that does flood mitigation.

"Roofs do good jobs of keep water out when it rains, but I don't know anything that does a better job than that," said Ash.

Frank admits the Flood Extinguisher may not for every situation.

"It depends on what your idea of flood protection is," he said.

But he does stand by the product.

"Don't like the way it applies or you don't like the way it protects? Simply send it back and get a complete refund," he said.

And for Aguilar, that is something he's willing, at least, to investigate.

"If it saves me from having to tear down and do all over again, it would be something I need to check into," he told us.

We made several calls to insurance companies, as well as some college professors, to get their take on this product, but none would comment. The Flood Extinguisher comes in blue and clear and costs

The mirror surface of the lift for high buildings need to be covered and protected before installation and operation. Currently, most lift manufacturers cover and protect the mirror surface of their lifts by adhesive plastic films in China. Mirror front is glass, therefore our water based WindOcoat 4930 (clear) or WindOcoat 4880 (blue) will work well for this application.
